Welcome to Hourglass - Boston's Very Own Culture Clubhouse!
A popup shop and a pop of color to grace Boston's Boylston Street right down the block (a literal 3 minute walk) from Fenway Park! Hourglass is an eclectic and electric pop up shop, photo/content studio, and creative space that feeds the imaginative soul - the ultimate fashionistas dream house 😍. The studio has so much personality and is the hub for all things fashion, art, expression, and lifestyle.
3 beautiful souls and 1 vision - Lets get more into the ladies of the hour!
First allow me to introduce the shop conceptualizers!
Nicole, Erin, Ally, & the team set out to create a [temporary] concept store; an environment of incredible hospitality, compassion, and expression to cater to the creatives, life enthusiasts, and fashion lovers of the Boston Area.
Erin, the winner of Project Runway Season 15 [much deserved might I add - her designs are UNBELIEVABLE], is not only an extremely talented and renowned designer, but a down to earth bubbly chick with incredible wisdom and kindness to share in offering her experience and insight on the fashion industry. Her work has been featured in publications such as Marie Claire, Nylon, Forbes, Teen Vogue, Elite Daily and so many more.
Hourglass featured designer Nicole Fichera is a jewelry designer, interior designer, artist, influencer, and boss babe (I mean is there anything she doesn't do! this woman is #goals) with her own online boutique selling one of a kind dishware and handmade jewelry pieces (etsy shop link).
And finally but certainly not least, Ally! The Hourglass in-house photographer! Her office workspace & photography set is conveniently located in the back section of the studio where you can book to shoot, her work is AMAZING. Ally specializes in events, fashion photography, creative shoots, and other client project requests - check out her insta page here!
We visited & had the pleasure of shooting with Boston Model & Fashion Influencer @Brianna Thomas
Simply walking through the door and experiencing the space is incredible, you may find yourself immersed and loosing track of the time, so of course Hourglass is a fitting name. The Hourglass montra is "making time and space for creativity" [how perfect!] and "the only cost of entry is creativity" (Ally said it best!). The shop will be hosting on-location workshops throughout the month covering a variety of subject matter such as sustainable fashion techniques/up-cycling (how great is that!), studio portrait marathons, and many other exclusive events. For complete information check out the Hourglass instagram page & their official website!
The concept shop was interior designed and merchandised by Nicole (doesn't she have an amazing eye!)
There is such a distinct flair and playful quality to the composition and construction of Erin's pieces that is -for lack of better word- enchanting . Photos really do not to the collection justice! A camera cannot capture how incredible these pieces are in person - you just have to stop by and check them out yourself!
Come check out Hourglass before time runs out! - the shop will be closing its doors at the end of October, so definitely take advantage. Do not miss your opportunity to learn from and connect with some of the brightest, most talented, and most ingenuous minds in Boston!
Thank you to the amazing team at Hourglass for bringing a breath of fresh air to Boston! You can support local talent by shopping, booking, or donating to Hourglass
